The flat is located on the third floor of a new block of flats in the Prague Prosek quarter. The house is situated towards the street above a ground wave, which allows viewing a large part of eastern Prague /Žižkov, Karlín…/ from the flat. When bought by investors, the space was already completed in a very high standard /a completed kitchen, bathrooms, wooden floors, a prominent stone wall in the living room/.
Our primary tasks included making the flat more cosy and finishing up the main residential space, as well as designing built-in cabinets and storage spaces. In the living room, we proposed covering the lengthwise walls by MDF boards with fine gold-beige wallpapers as the main unifying element. Then we put the individual objects made of natural oak in it, with these being either built-in /a dishes cabinet/ or projecting /a TV cabinet/. As the central point in the space, we proposed a suspended oak dining table in front of the existing stone wall. The table is elevated using a special frame fixed to the floor structure.
